About Us

Shari was born on the Caribbean Island of Dominica but relocated to St. Thomas Virgin Islands at age nine. At a young age, she began exploring her interest in hair & beauty. She would often find herself recreating her hairstyles in the mirror although it sometimes got her in trouble. As a little girl, she enjoyed playing with her dolls and mannequins. In her room there were combs, brushes, and curlers everywhere. Being from the Caribbean meant that there were a lot of cultural influences in her upbringing. One of them was to obtain a college degree. In their perception, having Dr. before your name meant you had succeeded and there were no other options. As a result, she pursued my educational goals and obtained not one but two college degrees. She attended the University of the Virgin Islands (Go Bucs) in St. Thomas Virgin Islands where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Communication in 2014. In college, she often did her friends’ hair in her dormitory, as well as their siblings and sometimes their parents. After completion of her degree, she relocated to Tampa, Florida in 2016 to pursue her Master of Education in College Student Affairs from the University of South Florida (Go Bulls) which she attained in 2018. Full-time, she works as a Student Affairs Professional. She works with student leaders and student organizations to create a fun & robust campus experience for college students- what she considers the “fun part” of college. As a student at the University of the Virgin Islands, she served in leadership positions in a variety of student organizations which made my college experience worthwhile. Now she gets to do the same for the students that she works with.

By combining love, encouragement, self-care, and prayer, our objective is to inspire women of color to embrace their true identities and conquer life's obstacles. - -I am deeply devoted to self-exploration, self-care, and healing, with a vision to guide women of color towards becoming their most genuine and well-rounded selves. The inspiration to assist other women in achieving their ideal lives originated from my personal battles with anxiety and high-functioning depression, challenges that I have managed to overcome through therapy and years of self-discovery.

From custom wigs to all-natural hair goodies, our goal is to make you feel like a true queen. - Shari's journey began with a desire to reignite her passion for hairstyling, leading her to craft wigs as a remedy for her damaged hair. She shared each creation on social media, garnering attention and admiration. This path led to the establishment of Her Crown Palace, where she crafted wigs for others. - Crown Essentials was born from the challenge of finding genuine natural hair care products. With her Caribbean heritage, where herbs are integral, she conducted research and numerous experiments, culminating in the creation of her flagship product, the Imperial Growth Elixir. This elixir, featuring a blend of more than seven oils and twenty herbs, promotes growth, enhances moisture, and strengthens hair from root to tip.
